Airlink Resumes Flights to Popular Destinations in Africa

Airlink, a South African airline, has announced the resumption of its flights to some of the most popular destinations in Africa, including the ‘bush and beach’ routes. The airline had suspended its operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions imposed by various countries. However, with the easing of the lockdown measures and the increasing demand for travel, Airlink has decided to bring back its flights to cater to the needs of its customers.

Airlink’s ‘Bush and Beach’ Flights

Airlink’s ‘bush and beach’ flights are designed to offer travellers a unique and diverse experience of Africa, combining the wildlife and nature of the bush with the sun and sand of the beach. The airline operates flights from Johannesburg to some of the most sought-after destinations in Africa, such as:

  • Victoria Falls: One of the natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls is a spectacular sight of water and mist, located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Airlink offers direct flights from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls, as well as connecting flights to Livingstone in Zambia and Kasane in Botswana.
  • Kruger National Park: The largest and most famous national park in South Africa, Kruger National Park is home to a rich and diverse wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo). Airlink operates flights from Johannesburg to three airports within the park: Skukuza, Hoedspruit, and Phalaborwa.
  • Mozambique: A coastal country in Southern Africa, Mozambique is known for its pristine beaches, coral reefs, and marine life.   • Interline and codeshare agreements: Airlink has interline and codeshare agreements with various airlines, such as South African Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, British Airways, Air France, KLM, and Delta Airlines.
