Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam has recently opened two new lounges for premium passengers, one by Aspire and the other by the oneWorld alliance. The lounges offer a range of amenities and services, such as food and beverages, showers, and workspaces. The lounges are located in the non-Schengen departure area of the airport, between gates D and E.
Aspire lounge features a botanical room and workspace options
The Aspire lounge, which is operated by Swissport, has been revamped and expanded to accommodate more guests. The lounge has a capacity of 200 seats, and covers an area of 904 sqm. The lounge design is inspired by the basalt stones of the Dutch dikes, and features natural materials and colors.
The lounge offers various seating options, such as single seats, sofas, and dining tables. The lounge also has a botanical room, which is a quiet and relaxing space with plants and greenery. The lounge provides free Wi-Fi, charging points, and a selection of newspapers and magazines. The lounge also has a buffet area, where guests can enjoy hot and cold dishes, snacks, and drinks.
The lounge is open daily from 06:00 to 22:00, and welcomes guests who are flying with any airline, regardless of their class of travel. The lounge can be accessed by paying a fee of EUR 30, or by using a lounge membership card, such as Priority Pass, DragonPass, or Diners Club.
oneWorld lounge boasts a contemporary design and shower facilities
The oneWorld lounge, which is the first branded lounge by the alliance in continental Europe, has a capacity of 150 seats, and covers an area of 473 sqm. The lounge design is modern and elegant, with subtle references to Amsterdam’s architecture and culture. The lounge features lighting fixtures that resemble the city’s canal bridges, and artworks that depict the Dutch landscape and lifestyle.
The lounge offers comfortable seating options, such as armchairs, sofas, and bar stools. The lounge also has a full-service bar, where guests can enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Dutch beers and wines. The lounge also has a buffet area, where guests can savor hot and cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
The lounge provides free Wi-Fi, charging points, and a selection of newspapers and magazines. The lounge also has private shower facilities, where guests can freshen up before or after their flight. The lounge also has a dedicated area for business travelers, where they can work or hold meetings.
The lounge is open daily from 05:30 to 22:00, and welcomes guests who are flying with any oneWorld member airline, such as British Airways, American Airlines, or Qatar Airways. The lounge can be accessed by guests who have a first or business class ticket, or by guests who have a oneWorld Emerald or Sapphire status.
