Simone Biles Replaced a Recovered Porsche After Chicago Theft

Simone Biles recovered the Porsche GTS stolen from her Chicago house and still bought another Cayenne GTS, then added a Doberman named Remi.

Simone Biles said three masked men came to her Chicago house and stole her Porsche GTS, then confirmed the car was recovered and she was still picking up another one. She posted the account on Monday, Sept. 21, while putting on makeup to collect a new Cayenne GTS, and she captioned the clip, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next.”

The 29-year-old gymnast, who holds 11 Olympic medals, including seven golds and 30 world medals, treated the return of the SUV as a midpoint. She tied the theft to a Doberman Pinscher named Remi and to a second GTS, and she joked that producers could film her life without writing a plot.

Three Masked Men Took the Porsche GTS

Biles placed the theft in “our last few months in Chicago,” the stretch when she and Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, 31, were wrapping his two seasons with the Bears. “I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche. Stole the GTS,” she said.

She offered no date, no street, and no account of how the men got the car. Chicago police did not comment when asked, and her representatives did not add to the video. That left a gap outlets filled with the word burglary. Her own line was narrower: three masked men came to the house and took the GTS.

WHAT WE KNOW

  • The clip: Biles posted the makeup video on Monday, Sept. 21, on TikTok as @simonebilesowens.
  • The car: She said the stolen Porsche was a GTS, and she said it has been recovered.
  • The dog: She said the theft was one reason she and Owens got Remi, a Doberman Pinscher.
  • The next car: She said they left a Porsche store with a Cayenne GTS and never reached Lamborghini.

WHAT IS UNCONFIRMED

  • The date: She has not said which night the men came, only that it was during the last months in Chicago.
  • The entry: She has not said the men went inside the house, only that they came to it and took the car.
  • The police file: No public incident report, arrest, or recovery notice has been attached to her account.

She called the rest “another story” and said she would do a storytime if people wanted it. Until that lands, the record is her voice, a recovered GTS, and a new one waiting at the dealer.

What Biles Said in the TikTok

The video is a get-ready clip, not a crime briefing. She talks to the camera the way she talks to fans, stacking the theft, the dog, and a reality-show gag in the same breath while she does her makeup to go get the car.

I feel like I need a reality TV show. The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity. And so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly. That is one of the reasons why we also got our Doberman.

When a viewer wrote that someone had stolen her car, she answered, “How rude and inconsiderate.” The joke is the delivery. The content is a luxury SUV taken from the house she was about to leave.

A recovered car can still feel like someone else’s. That is why owners dump a vehicle that comes back with a smashed column, a new smell, and a Carfax scar. Biles did not spell out damage. She spelled out the next appointment.

Why She Bought Another Cayenne GTS

She had wanted a Porsche and had not wanted to pay Porsche money, so the shopping trip was built as a comparison run. Owens went with her. They mapped more than one badge and then stopped early.

THE STOPS ON THE LOT

  • Audi: She looked because she said one of their cars had the same engine at half the price, then dropped it because she did not like the way it drove.
  • Porsche: They found a Cayenne GTS, heard it start, and she said she was sold before a test loop turned into a debate.
  • Lamborghini: She said they never even made it to Lambo, which is the whole trip in one shrug.

“I’m not about to manhandle a car,” she said of the Audi. The line is about feel, not badge snobbery. She wanted the SUV to do the work, and the GTS did it on the first crank.

PORSCHE CAYENNE GTS AT A GLANCE

Spec Figure
Base U.S. price $132,400
Power 493 hp
0-60 mph 4.4 seconds
Top track speed 171 mph

On Porsche’s U.S. list the Cayenne GTS starts at $132,400 before options, a 493-horsepower V8, and a factory 4.4-second run to 60. That is the money she had tried to dodge by walking into Audi, and it is also the badge that had just been stolen from the house.

Baby, when they turn that thing on, I was sold. I felt like Tiffany Haddish from Girls Trip. Give it to me, I want it. Give it to me. So, we never even made it to Lambo.

Posts that put her in a new Lamborghini Urus skipped that last sentence. The car she described is another GTS, the same nameplate that left the Chicago house with three men in masks.

Remi the Doberman Came After the Theft

The other purchase was not on a lot. Biles said the theft was “one of the reasons why we also got our Doberman,” and the dog has a name: Remi. A Doberman is a guard animal with a job, not a fashion pet parked beside French bulldogs for photos.

She did not say Remi would have stopped the men. She said the men were a reason Remi exists. That is a household decision made after a Porsche GTS disappeared from the place they were living, and it outlasts the joke about a reality show.

Owens had his own scare on Feb. 15 in Milan, when he said someone tried to rip a shopping bag off his hand and ran when the strap stayed wrapped around his wrist. That was a street grab, not a masked crew at the house. It is the same season of travel, cameras, and people who treat their stuff as public.

Remi is the part of the TikTok that does not play as a bit. A second Cayenne GTS replaces a recovered one. A Doberman is there because the first car left with strangers.

Chicago Auto Thefts Climbed as National Thefts Fell

She told a Chicago story in a year when the city’s car-theft count was rising again. Chicago Police Department figures through June 21 showed 8,337 reported motor vehicle thefts citywide, up 10% from 7,569 in the same stretch of 2025, after a stretch when overall auto thefts had been falling.

THE THEFT TALLY AROUND THE CLIP

  • Chicago YTD: 8,337 motor vehicle thefts through June 21, 2026, per department figures.
  • Same stretch, 2025: 7,569 reports, the base for that 10% rise.
  • United States, 2025: 659,880 vehicles reported stolen nationwide, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
  • National swing: a 23% drop from 2024, which NICB called a multi-decade low.

Those national numbers ran the other way from Chicago’s 2026 year-to-date. NICB’s March release framed 2025 as the end of a pandemic-era surge, with the Hyundai Elantra still the most stolen model in the country at 21,732 thefts. Biles was not driving an Elantra. She was driving a GTS in a city whose own Chicago’s monthly auto theft records still run hot even when the country cools off.

The clip was quickly read as a Chicago crime argument. That fight is real in the replies and mostly beside the point she was making in the mirror, which was about a dog, a second GTS, and a life that already had too many plot turns for a regular camera crew.

The Last Months in Chicago

By the time she said “last few months in Chicago,” the Chicago chapter was already closed. Owens finished the 2025 Bears season, they packed the Illinois place, and they moved into the Texas house they had been building for years.

THE YEAR THEY LEFT ILLINOIS

  1. Feb. 2022: They break ground on the custom house in Spring, Texas, after a long HOA wait.
  2. 2024-2025: Owens plays safety for the Bears, and the couple keeps a Chicago base while the Texas job crawls.
  3. Nov. 11, 2025: Biles posts that the Texas house is complete, five years after design work started in 2020.
  4. February 2026: They pack up Chicago after the Bears season and move into the finished Texas house.
  5. March 2026: Owens signs a one-year deal with the Colts, his next stop after Chicago.
  6. Sept. 8, 2026: Biles says she will officially move to Indianapolis later, after spending most of her time in Houston.
  7. Sept. 21, 2026: She tells the GTS story on TikTok while heading out to pick up the new one.

The theft sits in that “last few months” window, before the February move, which is why a Chicago house and a Texas mailbox can both be true in the same year. She was not narrating a city she still lived in. She was narrating the one they had just escaped, then buying another GTS anyway.

Indianapolis Is the Next Address

On Sept. 8 she said she had been in Houston most of the time and would “officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later.” She called the stadium stunning and said she was excited to watch Owens, adding that it did not matter as long as he was safe, healthy, and having fun.

Safe is doing more work in that sentence now. The Chicago GTS left with masked men. Remi arrived after that. The new Cayenne GTS is the car she chose when an Audi would not drive the way she wanted. Indianapolis is the next rented football-season setup, with the Texas house still the main place and Houston still on the calendar.

She still owes the storytime she offered. Until she tells it, the caption is the policy: the stolen GTS came back, and they went onto the next one anyway.

The site is deliberately wide, and keeping ten sections accurate with one editor depends on a rule he has followed through a decade in journalism, from reporter to editor: every section has its own primary record, and the article starts there. For business that means the filing and the earnings call transcript, for science the paper and its underlying data, for sports the official result, for auto and technology the product in his hands, for news the statement or the court document. Entertainment, lifestyle, travel and gaming get the same treatment, with the release, the itinerary or the game itself checked before writing begins. Readers come from many countries, so figures are given with context and checked before they are published.
